reality is a dark, yet eventually hopeful ballad, an unconventional R&B track, produced and performed by Polymancer himself. The first song off of Poly’s upcoming EP, it talks about love and the feeling of losing it to situations you think could have been avoided through more wistful thinking, but that's never really the case. When you come to accept it, you can see there's so much more out there waiting for you.

With reality, Polymancer aims to bring his unique style of pop that doesn’t necessarily stick to the rules of conventional pop songwriting, yet maintains sound structure in a way that it reminds the listener of their favorite pop artists like Sia and Billie Eilish, dark and ambient, taking them in with the music completely surrounding their bodies. Having only the punchline as a repetitive element in the song, the song has no other repetitions in terms of a chorus, or any other actual structure as mainstream pop follows (in terms of intro, verse, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus, outro). This makes it stand out from the crowd, yet only on paper, as it subconsciously blends in completely due to the pop beat and the strong R&B roots.

"Every dark knight comes to shine/ right when the morning comes to be," can be roughly translated to the idea of there always being a silver lining to the clouds even after the darkest of days. This song starts a new chapter in Polymancer's musical journey.
